Young Networking Evening – MCM x ADeKo Social Mixer
On Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025, a small but vibrant networking event took place on the 5th floor exhibition space of MCM Haus in Seoul: the MCM x ADeKo Social Mixer – spontaneously planned, warmly executed.
The event was especially aimed at young ADeKo regular members as well as the mentees and mentors of our current ADeKo Mentoring Program 2025. The goal was to create a relaxed and informal space for exchange, connection, and networking – among like-minded people from the German-Korean community and young international professionals.
A big thank-you goes to MCM, who warmly invited us and generously supported the event.
Before the evening officially kicked off at 6:30 PM, participants had the chance to explore the exhibition floors from the first to the third floor. The location had a modern, creative vibe – the perfect setting for a casual networking get-together.
To start off the evening, MCM provided snacks and drinks from BrotART in the basement – allowing everyone to enjoy a light German-style dinner ("Brotzeit") together. Around 7 PM, Philipp Shin from MCM gave a short welcome speech and briefly introduced MCM, the METES Forum and ADeKo.
After that, we jumped into an interactive session of Speed Networking – inspired by the concept of speed dating. Every three minutes, participants were encouraged to switch partners, giving everyone the opportunity to meet and connect with many new people. The evening then continued in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with more casual conversations.
We sincerely thank MCM for their kind collaboration, and all participants for the positive energy and openness. We're especially happy that this evening gave our mentees a chance to exchange experiences and build connections within an international, future-minded community.
