ADeKo will visit Seokjojeon Hall(which is located in Deoksugung Palace) as the third ADeKo Cultural Experience Program following the Peter Weibel exhibition.
Seokjojeon Hall is a rare neoclassical palace in Korea, built in the Western style to symbolize the modernization of the Korean Empire and to demonstrate its power as an imperial power.
You'll hear in-depth commentary from Unjoo Kim, who wrote her doctoral thesis on Seokjojeon Hall.
After the tour, we will have a discussion about Seokjojeon Hall and modern architecture at a nearby cafe.
